How to Get to Chester Lake Almanor

From the west:
Take State Highway 70 through the Feather River Canyon from Oroville, head towards Greenville, then on to Chester. You can also take State Highway 32 from Chico the turn right on State Highway 36. Driving up Interstate 5 (North) to Red Bluff, then taking State Highway 36 right into Chester.

From the east:
You can use State Highway 70, or U.S. Highway 395 to State Highway 36 (Through Susanville)

From the north:
State Highway 89 through Lassen Park to State Highway 36. From Interstate 5 at Red Bluff take State Highway 36 to Chester.

From the south:
Take State Highway 89 from Interstate 80 at Truckee State Highway. 70 from Oroville, via Interstate 5 and 99, then onto State Highway 89, to Satte Highway 36.
